As a family historian and genealogist, I place a special emphasis on history as it relates to present day world affairs. Therefore, the significance of this year's historic election was not lost on me. I have taken part in the democratic process since I was 18 years old, and it is a tradition I am continuing with the next generation. Voting is the way our government can determine the will of the people. Let your will be known. I voted early at the Dr. William U. Pearson Community Center, in North Las Vegas, NV. In spite of very long lines, it was a joyful occasion. The only problem was that a poll worker was encouraging people to leave and vote elsewhere.
